Not easy to relate to things you can\u2019t see like the earth’s magnetic field. Looking at birds helps, learn from their annual movements. In Europe at this time of the year many birds migrate southwards. Little songbirds travel alone and mostly at night so they won\u2019t be noticed by their predators. Even newborn birds know exactly where to go: imprinted. Birds use the stars, smell, coastline and the earth’s magnetic field to orientate.
