The centre of this calendar shows the river height and the rain season over a period of a year in the Upper Rio Negro Region. The social, ritual and agricultural activities of the Curripaco community are brought into line with the cycle. November is traditionally the month to harvest manioc and to fish with bows and arrows and spears. The nearest supermarket in In\u00edrida, on the other hand, advertises on their Facebook page with refrigerators and frozen chicken.
